Drug treatment reducing recidivism

Reducing recidivism – recidivism prevention

After the stationary treatment, patient’s state is stable, his body clean from narcotics. He does not feel the physical crisis and wants to start a new life. However, when he gets back home, new factors take sway over him: communication with problematic company, availability of narcotics, stress at work and in the family, boredom, use of marijuana or alcohol. These factors often negatively influence the result which we managed to accomplish during the hospital treatment. In order to avoid this, we devise the plan for further treatment and counter-recidivism measures.

Protection from recidivism includes:

• Daily timetable – responsibilities, work, school
• Discontinued contact with people who use narcotics
• Physical activity
• Abstaining from use of alcohol, benzodiazepine, marijuana and other psychoactive substances
• Regular taking of psychostabilisers
• Regular controlled use of blockators in form of pills or implants, as well as vaccine
• Regular testing for narcotics
• Contact with psychologist/psychotherapist
• Turning to hospital for help in case that patient’s state is changed
Following these rules guarantees betterment of patient’s state, and his going further away from narcotics every day.
